Rice Pudding

  • 2 heaped tbsps basmati or pudding rice 
  • 2 heaped tbsps granulated sugar
  • knob butter
  • 700ml whole milk
  • pinch of grated nutmeg or lemon zest
Method
  • STEP 1

    Heat the oven to 180°c/gas 4/350°F. Butter a 1L baking dish or casserole dish, tip the rice and sugar and stir through the milk. Top with either lemon zest or nutmeg.

  • STEP 2

    Cook for 1½ hrs or until the pudding wobbles ever so slightly when shaken.
